The Soweto and Kliptown Tour

Soweto is a township of the city of Johannesburg in Gauteng, South Africa, bordering the city's mining belt in the south. Soweto is an acronym for South Western Townships. We will visit the first black residential district in Soweto, Kliptown. First laid out in 1891 on land which formed part of Klipspruit dairy farm.
In 1955, three thousand people around the country gathered to endorse the Freedom Charter.

We will also visit the Mandela House museum in Vilikazi street and Hector Pieterson museum.
